Tips to create greater happiness with less Junk Mail
Reduce Junk Mail:
One of the best ways to reduce paper
clutter and interruptions is to stop them from getting to you in the
first place.
We would like to make two important points regarding junk mail.
First, the Deceptive Mail Prevention and Enforcement Act, 39 USC 3001,
specifically addresses the creation and maintenance of a Do Not Mail
list by individual companies, much like the Do Not Call list.
Second, the United States Postal Service states that you are not
required to accept any mail that you do not want, you may return it
simply by writing the word "Refused" and putting it back in the mail
without opening it. No fees will be charged.
Are all those pre-approved credit card and loan mailings driving you
crazy? Do you know that banks buy your credit rating information from
the credit reporting agencies? They have your name, address and your
social security number; along with ratings of if your bills are paid
on time and whom you owe money to. If you've been denied credit within
the last 60 days, you can contact them for a free copy of your report;
otherwise it'll cost you approximately $8.00. By the way all consumers
are entitled to one free copy of their credit report each year,
regardless of whether they were denied credit or for any other reason.
Simply visit www.annualcreditreport.com
Four ways to reduce the amount of unsolicited third class mail you
receive, like flyers, catalogs, pre-approved credit card and loan
mailings.
1. Send a letter to each of the three major credit reporting agencies
and request that they stop selling your credit rating information
a. Equifax Options P.O. Box 740123 Atlanta, GA 30374-0123
b. TransUnion Consumer Relations P. O. Box 2000 Chester, PA
19022-2000.
c. Experion- NCAC, P. O. Box 9701, Allen, TX 75013
2. You may contact the major credit reporting agencies by phone, just
call one number 888-567-8688 to reach Equifax & Experion & TransUnion.
3. To reduce the amount of unwanted mailings—catalogs, etc. Send a
letter to:
Mail Preference Service, Direct Mail Marketing Association, P.O. Box
9008, Farmingdale, NY 11735-9008
ADVO, List Maintenance, 2235 S Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85004-2909
Please note that it may take up to six weeks for your request to be
implemented.

B2B Article 2
Lessons of Life
By Regina Brett, The Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio
To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 50 lessons life taught
me.
It is the most-requested column I've ever written.
1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement, starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their
journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye, but don't worry, God
never blinks.
16. Life is too short for long pity parties. Get busy living or get
busy dying.
17. You can get through anything, if you stay put in today.
18. A writer writes. If you want to be a writer, write.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood, but the second one
is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no
for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie.
Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: "In five years,
will this matter?"
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends
will. Stay in touch.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you
did or didn't do.
35. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood. Make it memorable.
38. Read the Psalms. They cover every human emotion.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's,
we'd grab ours back.
41. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
42. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
43. All that truly matters, in the end, is that you loved.
44. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
45. The best is yet to come.
46. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
47. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
48. If you don't ask, you don't get.
49. Yield.
50. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.
"A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks
out."
Happiness
happens
Like rain happens. And the tide happens.
Happiness has little to do with you or me or my thoughts or your
thoughts or anything we can do about them. And the only way we have to
find happiness requires us to be there when it happens. Fully present
and at our best.
The more playful we are, the more likely it is that we're present
enough to recognize happiness.
The more fun we have the more likely that we'll embrace happiness.
The more profoundly playful, the more deeply fun, the more likely we
are to be fully there, fully at our best, so happiness happens with
us.

Information
about the dangers of cell phone usage
Health concerns show no sign of slowing the wireless expansion. So far
only a few, faint warnings have been raised, mainly by people who are
so sensitized to the electromagnetic radiation emitted by mobiles,
their masts and Wi-Fi that they become ill in its presence. The World
Health Organization estimates that up to three out of every hundred
people are "electro sensitive" to some extent. But scientists and
doctors - and some European governments - are adding their voices to
the alarm as it becomes clear that the almost universal use of mobile
phones may be storing up medical catastrophe for the future.
A recent authoritative
Finnish study has found that people who have used mobiles for more
than ten years are 40 per cent more likely to get a brain tumor on the
same side of the head as they hold their handset; Swedish research
suggests that the risk is almost four times as great. And further
research from Sweden claims that the radiation kills off brain cells,
which could lead to today's younger generation going senile in their
forties and fifties.
There has been less
concern about masts and relay antennas, as they emit very much less
radiation than mobile phones. But people living - or attending schools
- near them are consistently exposed and studies reveal a worrying
incidence of symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, nausea, dizziness
and memory problems. There is also some suggestion that there may be
an increase in cancers and heart disease.

Joke of the month
Why did the chicken cross the
road?
GEORGE W. BUSH:
We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to
know if the chicken is on our side of the road or not. The chicken is
either against us or for us. There is no middle ground here.
COLIN POWELL:
Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image
of the chicken crossing the road.
JOHN KERRY:
Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road I am now against it!
RALPH NADER:
The chicken's habitat on the other side of the road had been polluted by
unchecked industrial greed. The chicken did not reach the unspoiled
habitat on the other side of the road because it was crushed by the
wheels of a gas-guzzling SUV.
PAT BUCHANAN:
To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.
RUSH LIMBAUGH:
I don't know why the chicken crossed the road, but I'll bet it was
getting a government grant to cross the road, and I'll bet that somebody
out there is already forming a support group to help chickens with
crossing-the-road syndrome. Can you believe this? How much more of this
can real Americans take? Chickens crossing the road paid for by their
tax dollars. And when I say tax dollars, I'm talking about your money,
money the government took from you to build a road for chickens to
cross!
MARTHA STEWART:
No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had a
standing order at the Farmer's Market to sell my eggs when the price
dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider
information.
JERRY FALWELL:
Because the chicken was gay --- isn't it obvious? Can't you people see
the plain truth in front of your face? The chicken was going to the
"other side'. That's what they call it the other side. Yes, my friends,
that chicken is gay. And if you eat that chicken, you will become gay
too. I say we boycott all chickens until we sort out this abomination
that the liberal media whitewashes with seemingly harmless phrases like
"the other side."
DR. SEUSS:
Did the chicken cross the road?
Did he cross it with a toad?
Yes, the chicken crossed the road,
but why it crossed I've not been told.
ERNEST HEMINGWAY:
To die in the rain. Alone.
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.:
I envision a world where all chickens will be free to cross roads
without having their motives called into question.
GRANDPA:
In my day, we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told
us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough.
BARBARA WALTERS:
Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the
chicken tell, for the first time, the heartwarming story of how it
experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish its
life long dream of crossing the road.
JOHN LENNON:
Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together - in
peace.
ARISTOTLE:
It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.
KARL MARX:
It was an historic inevitability.
CAPTAIN KIRK:
To boldly go where no chicken had ever gone before.
SIGMUND FREUD:
The fact that you are at all concerned that the chicken crossed the road
reveals your underlying sexual insecurity.
BILL GATES:
I have just witnessed eChicken2003, which will not only cross roads, but
will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your
checkbook....and Internet Explorer is an integral part of eChicken.
ALBERT EINSTEIN:
Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the
chicken?
BILL CLINTON:
I did not cross the road with THAT chicken. What is your definition of
chicken?
AL GORE:
I invented the chicken!
THE BIBLE:
And God came down from heaven, and he said unto the chicken "THOU SHALT
CROSS THE ROAD." And the chicken didst cross the road, and there was
much rejoicing.
COLONEL SANDERS:
Did I miss one?
